Get to know us
Serenity Peace of Mind Art School (Bermuda) is a social enterprise dedicated to creative care. We design and deliver art and wellness programs — spanning visual art, music, and movement — for schools, community groups, organizations, and families.
Our trained facilitators and teaching artists create spaces where young people can freely express themselves, build confidence, and grow through creativity. We focus on making art experiences accessible to all, especially children from low-income families, so that financial barriers never stand in the way of a child’s imagination.
Revenue from our programs supports community outreach, innovation, and facilitator development, helping us build a sustainable model that creates lasting impact across Bermuda.
Our Mission
To develop innovative, evidence-based art therapy and creative wellness programs that improve mental health, strengthen resilience, and promote personal growth for individuals, families, and organizations.
Our Vision
A Bermuda where every child—regardless of background—can heal, grow, and express themselves through the arts.
At Serenity, we believe creativity is a powerful tool for children to communicate their feelings, build confidence, and make responsible life choices. Our programs are designed to be accessible to all, offering low- to no-cost opportunities for families who qualify.
We want to be part of the solution, not the problem.
It starts here at Serenity. Won’t you join us?

Our Team
Serenity Peace of Mind Art School (Bermuda) was born from personal experience. When Founder Bella S. Simmons witnessed how art transformed her own daughter’s journey through trauma, she became determined to give that same opportunity to other children.
Together with Co-Founder Mekisha L. Simmons and a passionate team of educators, artists, and community leaders, Serenity Bermuda provides a nurturing space where children can express themselves freely, explore their creativity, and find healing through artistic expression.
Our focus is not on the clinical side of therapy — we believe art should be open, joyful, and accessible to every child. That’s why we are especially committed to serving low-income families, ensuring that therapeutic art experiences are not limited by financial barriers.
While we don’t offer clinical services ourselves, we welcome collaboration with certified art therapists and mental health professionals on the island to enhance our programs and support children in a holistic way.
